It is time to get rid of your plastic water bottle. Two good reasons why you should ditch the plastic bottle is 1. It is not cute to be carrying around a plastic water bottle with you and 2. It is not good for the environment! There are so many more reasons why we should stop using plastic water bottles and here are just a few of them:

The production stage of creating a plastic water bottle is where most of the dependency from the environment is taken place.
According to Hydration Anywhere, over 17 million barrels of oil is used to create more than 50 million plastic water bottles per year in the United States.

Biofriendly Planet reported that the creation of single-use plastic bottles releases 2.5 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere every year.
Carbon dioxide is considered a greenhouse gas because it traps heat close to Earth’s surface. An excessive amount of carbon dioxide being expelled into the atmosphere means we are heating up the planet and by using a reusable water bottle, we can help slowdown that heating process.
3) Less Likely to End Up in a Landfill
38 billion water bottles end up in landfills each year. When you choose to use a reusable water bottle, you are creating less waste.
4) Protects Water and Marine Life
There is so much plastic that ends up in our oceans and that creates death to our marine animals. According to Biofriendly Planet, they estimate that 1.1 million marine creatures die annually because of plastic waste in the ocean.
