It is supposed to be foggy all day today (foggy Sunday count me in). I do not know about you, but I feel like these weeks are just flying by. This week did not really spice up until the weekend other than my family celebrating a birthday on Tuesday which was a ton of fun, who does not like birthdays I mean come on. Friday was hike day and wow that was an adventure. Me and one of my best friends hiked along a stream to get to a little waterfall and then scaled a mountain to get a breathtaking ocean view (yes, I complained the whole way up the mountain but it was worth it). The hike is called Solstice Canyon Hiking Trail if you want to check it out :)
Going outside and spending time with nature always is a good idea. The world has so much beauty and I feel like we often miss out on it because we are always trying to get to point A to point B without pausing and enjoying the sun on our skin. Have you ever been sitting in an air conditioned building or home and then step outside and feel the warm sun on your skin? That is one of the best feelings ever (in my opinion)! Anyway, get outside because it will put a smile on your face, you can get a good little tan, and its just all around good for you.
Me and my sister went on a little dinner date where we got food and ate it on top of Topanga Canyon. A little side note, there was so much trash there so if you go either pick up your trash or who ever monitors the area needs to go check that out because it was ridiculous. Sorry for that little rant. We wanted to go for a little adventure after, so we ended up driving to Beverly Hills and ran around empty Rodeo Drive. That was also a sight to see because that area/street is usually packed with people but there was almost no one and all the stores were either empty or boarded up which was sad. There was a piece of art that thanked the essential workers during this wild time, it was very thoughtful and was amazing to see; I will add a picture to show you. OH, also there was a protest that was beautiful to see. There were about a hundred people who were expressing themselves and their beliefs. So much positivity in one night, every night should be like this!
There is so much beauty in the world and all you must do is get out, look around, and you will find it! It comes in so many different forms, ways, and sizes (beauty is in the eye of the beholder 😊). My main point is that we need to get out to see it because it is more than likely right in front of us. On Saturday I had a family beach day; does not get any better than that. You can find me today relaxing at home with a face mask and tea in hand on this gloomy Sunday. I love you and get outside <3
